Pirate Bay Has Moved...Again!

In case you attempted to log on to TPB (thepiratebay.sx) earlier this week and found it down, I found where it went; thepiratebay.ac.  Well, now THAT is down too.  But have no fear...TPB is up and running at ThePirateBay.pe.  Hopefully they are allowed to stay there for awhile so I don't have to wast time in my pursuit of torrents.  I know...complaining about free stuff...shut up.

MALEFICENT Trailer debuts

It focuses a tad more on developing the Sleeping Beauty story more than on Maleficent herself, but she sure does look bad ass.  And that laugh at the end!! PERFECTION!  This has always been my favorite Disney villain and I cannot wait to see this in theaters.

2 Comic Books You Should Be Reading: IMAGE edition

Put down the typical superhero fare for just a moment and feast your eyes on these beauties that are full of mystery, conspiracies, stunning artwork, compelling tales, fantastic fun and so much for you brain to boggle!

MORNING GLORIES by IMAGE
Ongoing series currently at issue #32
Story by Nicke Spencer
Art by Joe Eisma (covers by Rodin Esquejo)

This is series is currently on issue #32 (moved back to 10/02/13 release date) and I still have not the faintest clue as to what is happening.  But I love it. The series takes place almost exclusively at the fictional Morning Glory Academy, an exclusive boarding school for teenagers. Beneath its placid facade, the school is actually involved in the murder and torture of students as well as various investigations into occult and supernatural phenomenon. This series has been accurately described as "Runaways meets Lost."  It is full of religious conspiracies, blood, gore, humor, and crazy time paradoxes.  What more could you want?

SAGA
Ongoing series currently at issue #
Story by Brian K. Vaughan
Art and Covers by Fiona Staples

How are you not already reading this?! This is the BEST comic I have picked up in a very, very long time.  Saga is an epic space opera/fantasy comic book series. The series is heavily influenced by Star Wars, and is based on ideas Vaughan conceived both as a child and as a parent. It depicts two lovers from long-warring extraterrestrial races, Alana and Marko, fleeing authorities from both sides of a galactic war as they struggle to care for their newborn daughter, Hazel, who occasionally narrates the series.  Now this comic is not for the young ones, it has graphic nudity, sexual situations (like full-on sex), and lots of gore.  Plus some very odd looking aliens that I just love.  The story pulls you in and you are left begging for more!  I squee with absolute delight when a new issue finally comes out!  And the art work!! OH THE BEAUTIFUL ART WORK!  I am in love with Fiona Staples art work.

Fuck Yeah...'Merica! Cap 2 Trailer Now Up!

First Glimpse of Lily James as CINDERELLA

The story of Cinderella follows the fortunes of young Ella whose merchant father remarries following the tragic death of her mother. Keen to support her loving father, Ella welcomes her new stepmother Lady Tremaine and her daughters Anastasia and Drisella into the family home. But, when Ella's father suddenly and unexpectedly passes away, she finds herself at the mercy of a jealous and cruel new family. Finally relegated to nothing more than a servant girl covered in ashes, and spitefully renamed Cinderella, Ella could easily begin to lose hope. Yet, despite the cruelty inflicted upon her, Ella is determined to honor her mother's dying words and to "have courage and be kind." She will not give in to despair nor despise those who abuse her. And then there is the dashing stranger she meets in the woods. Unaware that he is really a prince, not merely an employee at the Palace, Ella finally feels she has met a kindred soul. It appears as if her fortunes may be about to change when the Palace sends out an open invitation for all maidens to attend a ball, raising Ella's hopes of once again encountering the charming "Kit." Alas, her stepmother forbids her to attend and callously rips apart her dress. But, as in all good fairy tales, help is at hand as a kindly beggar woman steps forward and, armed with a pumpkin and a few mice, changes Cinderella's life forever.

Director Kenneth Branagh says: "It is impossible to think of Cinderella without thinking of Disney and the timeless images we've all grown up watching. And those classic moments are irresistible to a filmmaker. With Lily James we have found our perfect Cinderella. She combines knockout beauty with intelligence, wit, fun and physical grace. Her Prince is being played by Richard Madden, a young actor with incredible power and charisma. He is funny, smart and sexy and a great match for Cinderella."

Wait, Richard Madden is Prince Charming?!  SOLD!

Production on Cinderella will take place at Pinewood Studios and locations throughout England.  Cinderella will be released through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on March 13, 2015.

Casting Rumors For WARCRAFT

Deadline is reporting all sorts of casting rumors for Duncan Jones' live action adaptation of Warcraft (NOT called World of Warcraft as most idiot blogs are stating).  Last week they reported that Paula Patton (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) is in advanced negotiations and that Colin Farrell (Seven Psychopaths, Minority Report, my dreams) has been offered one of the leads.

Paula Patton
Colin Farrell

Now Deadline is reporting that Paul Dano (Prisoners), Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Anson Mount (Hell on Wheels), or Anton Yelchin (Star Trek Into Darkness) may be joining them.

Paul Dano
Travis Fimmel (now I REALLY want to watch Vikings)
Anson Mount

Anton Yelchin

.....................................                                                                                                                                           No word yet on which characters any of the aforementioned actors would be playing.  Speculation is that Farrell could play Medivh the Mage.  He looks more like a Varian Wyrnn to me, but that doesn't fit with the rumor that they are sticking with old Warcraft lore.  Paula looks like she was made to play Sylvanas Windrunner.  Perhaps before she was The Banshee Queen.  As for the new rumored actors, I have no clue who the could be playing. I just really want to watch Vikings now.  WHy haven't I watched that show?!

New DIVERGENT Posters Featuring Tris and Four's Tattoos

Further proof that it is going to be very hard for me to contain my raging lady boner for Theo James when this movie comes out...

Also, Tris showcases her very cool tattoos...which made me realize something that I didn't realize when reading the book.  Now I feel like an idiot.  Anyway...

Marvel Confirms: James Spader is Ultron!

Marvel has released an official press release on their own site revealing Ultron to be played by Boston Legal star, James Spader.

James Spader will face off against Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as the villain in Marvel’s "Avengers: Age of Ultron," the sequel to 2012’s record-breaking "Marvel’s The Avengers." The Emmy Award-winning actor will play Ultron in the Avengers’ much anticipated return to the big screen from writer/director Joss Whedon. The film comes to theaters on May 1, 2015.

Spader earned three Emmy Awards for his role as Alan Shore on "Boston Legal" and "The Practice," and will return to television this fall in NBC’s highly anticipated series "The Blacklist." Most recently Spader was seen in the critically-acclaimed film "Lincoln" directed by Steven Spielberg and has previously worked with a long list of accomplished film directors including David Cronenberg, Curtis Hansen, Sidney Lumet, Mike Nichols, Tim Robbins, Robert Rodriguez, Steven Soderbergh, and Oliver Stone. David Mamet also directed Spader in the Broadway play Race.

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will bring the Marvel Universe’s biggest heroes together again to face one of their biggest villains, with "Marvel’s The Avengers" director Joss Whedon returning to write and direct the sequel. "Marvel’s The Avengers" was released in 2012 and went on to earn $1.5 billion worldwide, making it the third-largest grossing movie of all time.

Spader is represented by ICM Partners and his lawyer Melanie Cook at Ziffren Brittenham.

I would have preferred Paul Bettany if they were going the route they appear to be going...but whatever after the shock of Batfleck earlier this week, nothing really upsets or surprises me anymore.

THOR: THE DARK WORLD Empire Magazine Stills Released

DC Unveils The New LOBO...and it's not good!

"A ruthless killer, Lobo is on a quest to kill the man who has taken his name. This Lobo is equal parts strong, vicious, and driven. There’s a darker and more logical idea about what a force of nature like him is capable of. After all, this is someone who can infiltrate high society, fly a space ship, and adhere to a very specific moral code that’s not your typical anti-hero one. Oh, and, this one-shot takes place very far away from Earth. And when I say very far away, I mean it takes place literally on the other side of the galaxy." - Bob Harris, EIC of DC

What the balls is this nonsense?!  He looks like a teenage!!! EHRMAGERD DC...STAHP!

GOTG: Kevin Feige Gives Up The Goods On Character Details

Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige, has given up quite a bit of detail to Empire Magazine in his interview this month.  Check out what he has to say;

"They are an unlikely band. It's pure circumstance that brings them all together throughout the course of the movie. Rocket has been genetically and mechanically altered, he's an experiment from one part of the galaxy. Groot is a species that happens to look like trees look, and is quite communicative if you can understand the different inflections in the way he says, "I am Groot." Peter Quill left Earth in the mid'80s, but when we meet back up with him he's very much a citizen of the universe. Drax has one goal and one goal only, which is to kill Ronan because of a past tragedy. When we meet Gamora, she's a bad guy working with Ronan and Nebula and Korath, and by extension for Thanos. Gamora doesn't necessarily like doing that anymore, and tries to find a new path for herself. But she has a reputation as the deadliest woman in the galaxy that people aren't greeting her with open arms."

Wow.  That is more info than anyone has given up thus far.  But, it's also basically the exact same character details as in the comics....so not really anything shocking.

When asked whether Guardians of the Galaxy takes place at the same time as marvel's other "Phase 2" movies, Kevin Feige had this to say, "The general answer is yes. It's not exactly revealed what year or month it is in relation to the other Phase Two films. But yes, it's the same time." So, while it may take place at the same time, just how connected will it be to the "Phase 2" films? "Certainly more than the others. We've already said that Thanos plays a part in it and is a character in it. That in and of itself should tell you it's connected to the other worlds." Talking of Thanos, many fans expected the Mad Titan to be the main villain in the sequel to The Avengers, but it was recently confirmed that it will be Ultron who fills that role. So, will he be the main foe in Guardians of the Galaxy? Not quite! "Ronan The Accuser is very much the main bad guy. And Thanos is lurking above it all. You will learn more about Thanos in Guardians, for sure. Certainly you'll get more than the one turn around and smirk. You'll get much more than that!"

GOTG: Set Photos Of Michael Rooker as Yondu

Check out these awesome Guardians of the Galaxy set photos from SuperHeroHype!

I love the practical effects, and I am sure they will be cleaned up some in post production.  But what do you think of Yondu's lack of his dorsal fin?  I wonder if that will be added via CGI or if they are leaving it out...since it is kind of silly looking.
