FOOD: An Amazing Parmesan Chicken Recipe

AN AMAZING AND EASY PARMESAN CHICKEN RECIPE

I was rifling through all of the chicken recipes I saved on Pinterest and found this picture...

...which looked amazing, but it had no link attached and the short description of "OMG Chicken! Simply mix sour cream and parmesan cheese. Spread over chicken breast in a baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes."

Um, thanks, useless description!  You do not help me at all.

So I attempted to take a crack at making this work.  I guess the measurements completely, as well as the cooking temperature.  I also added a few ingredients based on what I had in my cabinet.

Here is what mine looked like pre-baking....

.....and after baking.....

...it was DELICIOUS!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

AMAZING AND EASY PARMESAN CHICKEN

Ingredients

2 packages of Chicken Tenderloins (we get ours at Costco)

1/2 cup Sour Cream
1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
10 Italian Style Croutons - smashed to bits (you can also use bread crumbs...but I was out)
Italian Seasoning to taste

Directions

1.  Preheat that oven to 350°.

2.  Lightly coat a large baking dish with oil or spray with cooking spray (otherwise you'll be peeling your chicken off the bottom of the dish).

3.  Rinse and pat your chicken tenderloins dry.  ("tenderloin" is an awkward word, isn't it?!)

4.  Place your chicken into the baking dish, spreading it all out evenly.

5.  Mix the sour cream and parmesan cheese together in a small bowl.

6.  Plop the sour cream mixture onto the chicken and spread with a fork or spoon (or a knife, you smartass) to evenly coat the chicken.

7.  Take your croutons (or bread crumbs if you're lazy) and smash them to crumbs.  Sprinkle this crumby mess over the sour creamy chicken.

8.  Sprinkle Italian Seasonings over the entire thing, to taste. (I hate it when recipes say "to taste."  Like I'm actually going to taste the uncooked chicken to make sure I have enough seasoning.)

9.  Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 35 minutes.

10.  Increase the heat to 450° and continue to bake for another 10 minutes.  This will crisp the top a bit.

11.  Remove from oven (with pot holders, you idiot) and serve immediately with some nice steamed veggies or a cool salad.

12.  That's it.  We're done here.  Clean it all up.
